Create a strong portfolio showcasing various mediums and techniques

In this portfolio class, students create of works of art that are both memorable and showcase their individual skill and style. I have helped countless students create artworks focused on value, contour, composition, texture, design and observation. Through my fifteen years as a middle school art teacher, I have tons of insight into the specific types of work these schools are seeking. By the end of the class cycle, students will create all the required pieces for NYC Specialized Art High Schools. Out of class work-time is highly recommended!
